Dominic Mosier Wins Power Plant Operator of the Year from Kansas Municipal Utilities

At the May 2, 2022 City Council meeting, Augusta Power Plant Operator Trainee Dominic Mosier received the first annual Power Plant Operator of the Year Award from Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU). Congratulations Dominic and thank you for your great work!

"Dominic Mosier exemplifies the core values of our community. He exemplifies the ideal power plant operator and has been a conscientious, committed, and productive member of the City’s electric production team since 2018. During this time, Dominic's leadership abilities have become evident; tackling difficult utility planning issues, and the tactical challenges of 2021's Winter Storm Uri, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in KMUs challenging Power Plant Operator Certification Program. He has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of the community members, striving to achieve excellence in technical fields, acting as a mentor for his peers, and many others."
