Parks and Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of Augusta’s parks, lakes, and recreational facilities. Parks employees mow and maintain several hundred acres of greenspace, including five miles of Augusta’s levee system. Parks employees supplement other departments by assisting with building maintenance, cemetery upkeep, snow plowing, etc.
