May 1-7 is Drinking Water Week!

On April 18, 2022, Mayor Mike Rawlings signed a proclamation declaring the week of May 1-7, 2022 to be Drinking Water Week within the City of Augusta.

During this week, we recognize that water is our most valuable resource and celebrate the work of those in the water sector to deliver high quality water to our homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, fire hydrants, and more.

The City of Augusta is a municipal water utility, which means the work to treat and distribute drinking water in our community is completed by City of Augusta employees, led by Water Superintendent Brandon Green and Director of Public Utilities Tim Johnson.
