City Council Approves Changes to Fingerprinting and Other City Fees

On March 21, 2022, the Augusta City Council approved Fee Schedule Resolution No. 2022-08 making adjustments to several of the City’s fees.

The Augusta Department of Public Safety’s fees for fingerprinting services will now be based on whether or not a citizen lives within USD 402 district lines.  Please see the policy below for full details:

The following is a summary of other fee adjustments approved by the City Council as part of Fee Schedule Resolution No. 2022-08

  1. The fee for an annual boat permit at Augusta City Lake for Augusta residents was raised from $5.00 to $30.00.
  2. The fees for a daily and annual fishing permit at Augusta City Lake for Butler County residents ages 16-65 (not including Augusta residents) were raised from $5.00 to $10.00 and from $30.00 to $50.00 respectively.
  3. The fees for a daily and annual fishing permit at Augusta City Lake for non-Butler County residents ages 16-65 were raised from $10.00 to $30.00 and from $50.00 to $100.00 respectively.
  4. The daily recreation pass fee for Santa Fe Lake will be $12.00 on weekends and holidays from May to September. At all other times, the fee will be $10.00.
  5. Both Augusta residents and non-residents will be able to purchase an annual recreation pass for Santa Fe Lake at half price from August to December if they purchase the first/primary season pass for the following year at the same time.
  6. There is no longer a fee for use of human-powered boats/vessels (canoes, paddleboards, kayaks etc.) on Santa Fe Lake.
  7. There is now a group rate available for nonprofit organizations at Santa Fe Lake. The rate is $3.00 per person with a minimum charge of $100.00
  8. The fee for notary services for non-residents has been increased from $2.00 to $5.00.
  9. The fees for commercial permits to use the City Compost Site and Limb Yard have been removed.
  10. The $60.00 fee for solid waste trunk rentals has been removed. This is not a service the City currently offers.
