Councilmember Jeff Brown and Director of Public Safety Todd Ackerman Sworn in to Office

At the City Council meeting on Monday, January 3, 2022, the City of Augusta officially welcomed two new members to our organization: Councilmember Jeff Brown and Director of Public Safety Todd Ackerman.

Jeff Brown Swearing In

Jeff Brown was sworn into office to serve on the Augusta City Council, representing Ward 4.  Councilmember Brown was elected via write-in this past November and will serve a four-year term to expire in January 2026.  The best way for constituents to reach Councilmember Brown is to either text or call him on his cell phone (316-305-0978).

Todd Ackerman Swearing In

On December 15, 2021, the City of Augusta announced the hiring of Todd Ackerman to serve as the next Director of Public Safety for the City of Augusta, KS. Ackerman officially started his work at the City of Augusta, KS on January 3, 2022. He was formally introduced to the City Council and sworn in that evening at the City Council meeting.
